The Branding of Tribe Apparel
Tribe Apparel is a clothing brand that captures the spirit of outdoor cooking, grilling, smoking, and all the good times that come with it. Founded by Andy Viner, the brand is not just about clothing; it’s about celebrating the passion and community surrounding BBQ culture. From hobbyists to professionals, Tribe Apparel is a tribute to those who love cooking with fire. Recently, we had the privilege of partnering with Tribe Apparel to design a fresh new brand identity and help it connect with its audience in a bold and exciting way.
The Goal.
The goal of the project was to give Tribe Apparel a modern, cohesive visual identity that reflects its connection to outdoor cooking culture while making it more appealing to both BBQ enthusiasts and a broader audience. This meant establishing a stronger brand presence across social media platforms and creating designs that were not only visually striking but also spoke to the community’s values of sharing good food and good times. The brand was designed to enhance Tribe Apparel’s connection with its growing community of outdoor cooking fans while positioning itself as a community for like-minded followers.
- Brand Discovery: We conducted a thorough discovery session, identifying the brand’s core values, target audience, and goals. Tribe Apparel was all about celebrating good times, outdoor cooking, and the connections that come from it. We made sure these themes were present in the new identity.
- Designing a brand: We created the logo, colour palette, and typography to reflect a modern and bold look. The new visual identity combines traditional outdoor cooking utensils to create a bespoke symbol and identity that stands out.
- Product: We introduced a series of fresh, unique designs that were incorporated into t-shirts, hoodies, and stickers to extend the brand’s visibility across multiple touchpoints.
- Social Media: The project also included a look for branded social media elements. We created dynamic and engaging social media posts that resonated with the community, showcasing the brand’s products and the lifestyle they represent.
The Process.
Our approach to the branding process began with a deep dive into the heart of Tribe Apparel: its founder, the products, and the community. We spent time understanding Andy’s vision and his passion for BBQ culture to ensure that the new identity felt authentic and true to the spirit of the brand whilst appealing to the target market.
The Result.
The Tribe Apparel has resulted in a cohesive and visually appealing brand that resonates with both existing customers and new followers. The logo, t-shirt designs, and engaging social media presence have helped Tribe Apparel stand out. The result? A deeper connection with the outdoor cooking community and increased brand recognition.
They just made it so easy! I would wholeheartedly recommend Creative62 to anyone looking for design work.
