Creative62 announced as Leicestershire Business Awards finalists.
We have some really exciting news to share with you all…
Following an amazing afternoon at the East Midlands Chamber President’s Summer Celebration at The Nottingham Belfry last week, catching up with colleagues and fellow chamber members, the finalists of the Leicestershire Business Awards were announced.
After a tense wait, we were so thrilled to have been announced as a finalist for not one, but four of the prestigious awards up for grabs on the big night. We are proud finalists in the following categories:
– Community Impact
– Excellence in Customer Service
– Small Business of the Year
– Excellence in Innovation
So, what now? The next stage will be the finalist interviews towards the end of September where it’s down to us to wow the judges to aid them with making their final decisions for who will take home each award. Then it will be time to dust off our glad rags for the big night being held in November at The Venue@DMU, Leicester. We can’t wait to celebrate the team’s hard work and cheer on the amazing local businesses who will also be present at the awards evening.
Mark Robinson, Director of Creative62, said, “It was incredible to hear Creative62 mentioned four times during the presentation. It’s not just about our entries being acknowledged but also about the well-deserved recognition for the amazing team behind Creative62.”
As an already award-winning creative design agency, we would be absolutely over the moon to add another award to our display shelf.
Creative62 win community excellence award.
Sharing a room with so many inspiring local businesses was such a privilege and to go home with an award that we’re so proud to have achieved really topped the evening off!
This award means so much to us as it highlights our efforts within the community, outside of our day-to-day work. For 17 years, our creative agency has distinguished itself through a commitment to sustainable progress as a business in terms of those we work with, the results we achieve and the growth of our company in terms of employees. We do not, and never will, do things by halves. We are fully committed in every aspect of the company and the business that we do. Like most, we have developed our commitment to our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) primarily through charity associations and giving back. In our industry, we often find ourselves talking about return on investment (ROI), and we look at measuring our CSR efforts in a similar way – what are we doing and what is the best thing that could happen?
We’re multi-award-winners!
Awards
We popped open the champagne this week after we became a multi-award-winning business, following a win at the Nachural Entrepreneurship Awards of 2022! We’re absolutely over the moon to have been selected as the Innovative Business of the Year, with this award aligning so much with our values and intentions as a business.
By definition, Innovative means ‘introducing new ideas; original and creative in thinking.’ and if that doesn’t sum us up, we don’t know what does!
As a brand and graphic design agency, it’s our job to challenge ourselves to think innovatively on a daily basis, as we work through each design task. We ask ourselves questions like ‘Could we do this differently?’, ‘Will this positively disrupt our client’s market?’ and ‘Is this likely to achieve an ROI for our client?’. These are our goals as a business, which is why winning the Excellence in Innovation Award is such a positive for us, to be recognised for our efforts in creating an even more innovative industry.
Ninder Johal of Nachural Awards stated that the reasons behind Creative62 taking home the innovation award were down to our ‘use of technology to further the way you assist your clients’, but what struck Nachural the most was our ‘willingness to think outside the box by proactively connecting your clients with others – you aim further than most other agencies!’. We most certainly do!
On the other hand, we’ve even shown our innovative tendencies through the strategic advisor role we hold with local charity, Mosaic 1898. Mosaic 1898, who provide life enhancing support and care services for those with disabilities, had approached us to join the charity on its journey to making a greater difference. Rather than taking the traditional route and becoming a trustee, Mark mooted an innovative idea with the CEO that would better support the charity’s needs and ambitions – that Mosaic 1898 form a number of strategic partnerships with Leicester local businesses with Creative62 being one. Our agreed key role as a strategic partner is to assist and inspire Mosaic 1898 on all things brand and marketing. Together we discuss and develop incredible ideas that will shape and move Mosaic 1898 forward ensuring it achieves its strategic objectives whilst, all the time, remaining true to its ethics and ethos, its vision and mission.
Missing that innovative spark in your business? As a multi-award-winning Leicester creative agency, we’re your people!

Leah wins Digital Apprentice of the Year Award!
Awards
Creative62’s Digital Marketing Executive, Leah, takes home STAR award at the North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College Celebration of Achievement annual graduation and awards ceremony.
As some of you may know by now, Leah joined us back in August of 2021 as our digital marketing apprentice, completing her training through NWSLC. On passing her digital marketing apprenticeship with flying colours in April 2022 Leah set off on the venture of furthering her qualifications yet again. Enrolling on a further education course to study the CIM Marketing Principles, which when combined with the digital fundamentals achieved as part of Leah’s apprenticeship, she secured her latest qualification, the Foundation Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing.
Anyway, now you know a bit more about Leah, let’s get back to the awards evening. On the 20th January, a pool of NWSLC’s graduates, apprentices, students and their supporting guests and employers flooded into the Hinckley Leonardo Hotel for a night of celebration.
To kick off the evening, Marion Plant OBE FCGI, Principal & Chief Executive of North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College, took to the stage for an inspiring introduction to the awards event, describing the occasion as her ‘favourite night of the year’! Soon after, it was time to begin. As each award winner took to the stage to collect their trophy, a short video from the person who nominated them played on the big screen, explaining why their chosen student was so worthy of taking home the award and being recognised for their efforts. Leah’s apprenticeship mentor, Alison Ingley, explained why she nominated Leah for the award. In her video, Alison stated that Leah ‘was keen to achieve and really threw herself into her new role. She was a pleasure to mentor and a good ambassador for the apprenticeship programme.’. Presented with her award by Marion Plant, Leah won the STAR award for NWSLC’s Digital Technologies Apprentice of the year! A STAR award winner is said by the college group to represent the very best talent, commitment, and achievement of their students during 2021/22.
In relation to her win, Leah said, “Starting an apprenticeship was the best decision for me, it’s led to nothing but a more confident, qualified and experienced start to my career! To have been chosen as the winner of the Digital Technologies apprentice of the year award is a super special recognition of the work I put into completing my apprenticeship and into improving the digital credentials of Creative62. I’m really pleased to have won!”
And there we have it, another award has been added to our ever-growing collection!
