Leah wins Digital Apprentice of the Year Award!
Creative62’s Digital Marketing Executive, Leah, takes home STAR award at the North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College Celebration of Achievement annual graduation and awards ceremony.
As some of you may know by now, Leah joined us back in August of 2021 as our digital marketing apprentice, completing her training through NWSLC. On passing her digital marketing apprenticeship with flying colours in April 2022 Leah set off on the venture of furthering her qualifications yet again. Enrolling on a further education course to study the CIM Marketing Principles, which when combined with the digital fundamentals achieved as part of Leah’s apprenticeship, she secured her latest qualification, the Foundation Certificate in Professional Digital Marketing.

Anyway, now you know a bit more about Leah, let’s get back to the awards evening. On the 20th January, a pool of NWSLC’s graduates, apprentices, students and their supporting guests and employers flooded into the Hinckley Leonardo Hotel for a night of celebration.
To kick off the evening, Marion Plant OBE FCGI, Principal & Chief Executive of North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College, took to the stage for an inspiring introduction to the awards event, describing the occasion as her ‘favourite night of the year’! Soon after, it was time to begin. As each award winner took to the stage to collect their trophy, a short video from the person who nominated them played on the big screen, explaining why their chosen student was so worthy of taking home the award and being recognised for their efforts. Leah’s apprenticeship mentor, Alison Ingley, explained why she nominated Leah for the award. In her video, Alison stated that Leah ‘was keen to achieve and really threw herself into her new role. She was a pleasure to mentor and a good ambassador for the apprenticeship programme.’. Presented with her award by Marion Plant, Leah won the STAR award for NWSLC’s Digital Technologies Apprentice of the year! A STAR award winner is said by the college group to represent the very best talent, commitment, and achievement of their students during 2021/22.
In relation to her win, Leah said, “Starting an apprenticeship was the best decision for me, it’s led to nothing but a more confident, qualified and experienced start to my career! To have been chosen as the winner of the Digital Technologies apprentice of the year award is a super special recognition of the work I put into completing my apprenticeship and into improving the digital credentials of Creative62. I’m really pleased to have won!”
And there we have it, another award has been added to our ever-growing collection!
