Launching a New Voice for the British Triathlon Community
In 2023, we partnered with British Triathlon to create their first-ever member magazines, a new way to connect with their growing community. As the national governing body for one of the UK’s fastest-growing sports, British Triathlon wanted to give members something tangible, engaging, and proudly representative of the brand.
The Goal.
Our challenge was to develop a suite of magazines that would add real value to membership. Combining inspiring editorial, expert insight, and a strong visual identity. The publications needed to feel dynamic and authentic to the sport, while being practical to produce and easy for the internal team to manage going forward.
The Process.
Working hand-in-hand with British Triathlon’s in-house brand manager, we built the magazines from the ground up. Defining the creative direction, setting the editorial style, and designing a flexible layout system that could evolve with future issues.
We developed a clean, confident design language that celebrated movement, performance, and community, the essence of triathlon itself. To deliver efficiently, we assigned a dedicated designer to each title, enabling us to produce three new magazines in tandem.
The success of the launch led to a trusted partnership, with our team continuing to support British Triathlon during high-demand periods to maintain creative momentum.
The Result.
The magazines were an instant hit, members praised them for feeling fresh, relevant, and distinctly part of the British Triathlon world. They’ve quickly become a key touchpoint in the membership experience, building pride and engagement across the community.
Following their success, our collaboration has expanded to include the 2025 Events Supplement, a nationwide guide to triathlon events, with plans already underway for the 2026 edition. What began as a launch project has evolved into an ongoing creative partnership that continues to inspire athletes across the UK.
